I lost her all the same
Recent high school graduate Kai will experience the most turbulent summer of her life. Not only has she just graduated high school and is preparing to leave her life on O’ahu behind, but she’s also dealing with her best friend Jacki being away at an elite skateboarding camp, her fatphobic doctor, her mother’s newest attempt to help her lose weight, but more importantly, her crush Carmela has unbeknownst to Kai, joined a wellness cult.
Kai’s brush with this alluring cult and her own painful ruminations over the next twenty years forced her to confront just how dangerous her desires became.
