Zoë Malia Ozoa Loos
Zoë Malia Ozoa Loos (she/her) is a mixed-race, queer writer from Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. Her poetry has appeared in Wingless Dreamer. Her creative nonfiction has appeared in Toho Journal, 8th Ave Zine, and Gulf Coast Journal. Her multimedia essays have appeared in Allegory Ridge. Her photography has appeared on multiple covers of riverrun, and has won multiple awards in Pacific New Media Contemporary Photography in Hawai‘i.
She was also a guest on the Literary Podcast: It's Lit with PHDJ and has attended the Juniper Summer Writing Institute at UMass Amherst.
She holds an MFA in Creative Nonfiction Writing and a Dual Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies and Ethnic Studies from Saint Mary’s College of California.
She is currently working on a heist novel centered around a group of septuagenarians who infiltrate an orchid smuggling ring in Honolulu.
